Abstract: In the early 1980s, one of the main moral panics was glue sniffing by young teenagers. This phenomenon has been largely eclipsed in press reportage with the advent of heroin and various other hard drugs that appeared from the mid 1980s onwards. However, glue‐sniffing is still an issue, as evidenced from this paraphernalia found in an urban churchyard on Merseyside, UK.
