Abstract: This sixth edition of the dictionary includes 3540 definitions and has been updated and extended to include recent statistical terminology and tech- niques. It is directed towards English-speaking statistical students, authors or professionals, just as Sierra Bravo (1991) or Dodge (1993) are for Spanish and French speakers respectively. This book has very good technical content (including formulae) and a careful presentation. The editorial board includes well-known statisti- cians. It is also published in the USA by Oxford University Press, and the copyright belongs to the International Statistical Institute.
