Abstract: With the Farnsworth house, Mies van der constructed the first transparent building in history. But how could you live in it? Is it a building doomed to failure, mi(e)s-conceived? Transparency, the blur blurring of public and private spaces, forced the inaugural resident, Miss Farnsworth, to struggle with the architecture, to inhabit it without giving into it, following risky paths through the subjectivation of gender and sexual orientation.
