Patterns Of Chronic Graft-Vs-Host Disease And Associated Mortality After Myeloablative Conditioning Incorporating Fludarabine, Busulfan And ATG

Year: 2010
Type: article
Abstract: Preparative regimens incorporating antithymocyte globulin (ATG) have been shown to decrease the incidence of both acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD and cGVHD). It is less clear whether prior ATG influences the pattern of onset, duration of treatment and graft-versus-malignancy(GVM) effect of cGVHD. Between 1999 and 2008, 538 patients (pts) with hematologic malignancy aged 18–66 years (median 46) received blood cell (n=440, 82%) or marrow transplants after conditioning with Flu 50mg/m2 daily × 5 and IV Bu 3.2mg/kg daily × 4.
