The heat shock protein-CD91 pathway mediates tumor immunosurveillance
Year: 2014
Type: article
Abstract: Tumor immunosurveillance can be readily observed in mice and humans. Here, we examine how T-cell responses are primed during tumorigenesis, a condition in which immunostimulatory antigens are extraordinarily scarce. We recently demonstrated that the HSP-CD91 pathway is indispensable for antigen cross-presentation, and thus immunosurveillance, in cancer.
