Foamy Virus Vectors Come of Age

Abstract: A recent report by Dennis Hickstein's group at the National Institutes of Health heralds the maturation of many years of work on foamy virus vectors.1 The data presented in the report show correction of canine leukocyte adhesion deficiency (CLAD) using recombinant foamy virus vectors and suggest that foamy virus vectors have a relatively safe integration profile.
