In vivo dual modality contemporaneous imaging of different tumor reactive T-cell subpopulations
Year: 2005
Type: article
Abstract: Background: Identification of the in vivo functions of T-cell subpopulations in vivo is critical for understanding their interactions in the course of adoptive immune cell therapy. The quantitation of T-cell subpopulations in tissues would also allow for the assessment of the proliferation potential of these cells. Previously, we have used various applications of HSV1-tk PET and firefly Luciferase reporter gene imaging for the generation of cell trafficking images. We have combined these two imaging options to assess CD4 and CD8 T-cell populations and to correlate cell numbers and image intensity using microPET and bioluminescent imaging (BLI).
