Highlights of the Festschrift in Honor of Thomas E. Starzl, MD, PHD

Abstract: The scientific presentations encompassed a wide variety of topics, ranging from basic science topics in cellular immunology, liver physiology, and gene therapy, to clinical topics in transplantation, cancer, and autoimmunity. The program was represented by 39 University of Pittsburgh submissions and 40 from other institutions. This highlights some of the important clinical and research developments presented at the meeting. Space limitations do not permit inclusive summarization, which were extracted from the submitted abstracts.
