Abstract: Methodology of the study of climate by the French regional school : the Alps from 1925 to 1956. — Based on research works in the French Alps this article examines the original approaches made by geographers of the French Regional School to the study of climate, the critique of data, the transition from the research station network to regional space, the recourse to field observations and to explanatory procedures.
