Abstract: The use of new technologies and component miniaturization in electronics\nallow the development of systems based on Information and Communication\nTechnologies (ICT) enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities to process the information\nprovided by external devices, like accelerometers, to supervise the user in a similar way\nas a trainer could do. In this article we present an architecture composed by a Case-based\nReasoning (CBR) engine combined with accelerometers as measuring devices for\nobtaining data. This architecture may be used to supervise, inform and alert the user about\nthe physical activity performed (feedback CR) or about how physical exercises are\nexecuted (feedback CE). Besides, with this system it is possible to suggest new physical\nactivities (feedforward) in a cheap way, concerning an economic point of view; and in\nefficiently way, concerning the analysis of the parameters implied with the supervision.
