Abstract: This study aims to investigate the relationship between sources of role stress (role conflict-role ambiguity) and job satisfaction, and to determine what role the self-esteem and self-efficacy perceptions of employees can assume in trying to make this relationship positive. Within the scope of the study, a questionnaire with proven validity and reliability was applied to 309 nurses employed in Kirikkale Provincial Center (Turkey). The artificial neural network method was used for the analysis of the data. The findings obtained showed a negative and strong effect on job satisfaction by role conflict and role uncertainty, which are two dimensions of role stress. It was also determined that the perception of self-esteem and self-efficacy by employees has the ability to transform the negative effect of role stress on the job satisfaction into a positive effect when both variables are used together.
