Randomised {allocation concealed*}†, {unblinded}†* controlled trial with a median of 375 days of follow up. A chest pain unit at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas, USA. 248 patients 20 to 65 years of age with a ≤ 7% probability of acute myocardial infarction (MI) according to the Goldman algorithm, an absence of electrocardiographic and biochemical markers for ischaemia or infarction, an ability to exercise, and no previous coronary artery disease (CAD). Exclusion criteria were a previous CA or ETT or electrocardiogram confounders for ETT interpretation. 96% of patients completed follow up. 123 patients were allocated to CA done with a standard femoral … [1]: {openurl}?query=rft.jtitle%253DJournal%2Bof%2Bthe%2BAmerican%2BCollege%2Bof%2BCardiology%26rft.stitle%253DJ%2BAm%2BColl%2BCardiol%26rft.issn%253D0735-1097%26rft.aulast%253DdeFilippi%26rft.auinit1%253DC.%2BR.%26rft.volume%253D37%26rft.issue%253D8%26rft.spage%253D2042%26rft.epage%253D2049%26rft.atitle%253DRandomized%2Bcomparison%2Bof%2Ba%2Bstrategy%2Bof%2Bpredischarge%2Bcoronary%2Bangiography%2Bversus%2Bexercise%2Btesting%2Bin%2Blow-risk%2Bpatients%2Bin%2Ba%2Bchest%2Bpain%2Bunit%253A%2Bin-hospital%2Band%2Blong-term%2Boutcomes%26rft_id%253Dinfo%253Adoi%252F10.1016%252FS0735-1097%252801%252901300-6%26rft_id%253Dinfo%253Apmid%252F11419885%26rft.genre%253Darticle%26rft_val_fmt%253Dinfo%253Aofi%252Ffmt%253Akev%253Amtx%253Ajournal%26ctx_ver%253DZ39.88-2004%26url_ver%253DZ39.88-2004%26url_ctx_fmt%253Dinfo%253Aofi%252Ffmt%253Akev%253Amtx%253Actx [2]: /lookup/external-ref?access_num=10.1016/S0735-1097(01)01300-6&link_type=DOI [3]: /lookup/external-ref?access_num=11419885&link_type=MED&atom=%2Febmed%2F7%2F1%2F14.atom [4]: /lookup/external-ref?access_num=000169268300007&link_type=ISI
