A Multimodal Targeting Nanoparticle for Selectively Labeling T Cells
Year: 2008
Type: article
Abstract: A nanoparticle system capable of selectively labeling and monitoring antigen-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) by magnetic resonance imaging and fluorescence reporting is demonstrated. These targeting nanoparticles were functionalized with tumor-specific peptide-major histocompatibility complex (MHC) (see figure). TEM and fluorescence microscopy reveal nanoparticle binding to the CTL membrane.
