Abstract: A multiplex PCR procedure for detecting the aminoglycoside resistance genes aac(6')-Ie-aph(2")-Ia, aph(2")-Ib, aph(2")-Ic, aph(2")-Id, aph(3')-IIIa, and ant(4')-Ia was evaluated and found to determine accurately the presence of these genes in enterococci.
