Abstract: Cognitive-behavioral treatment of disruptive behaviors in a child with ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder. The Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a disorder thats frequency of occurrence has increased considerably in recent years. Children with this disorder have a higher risk of school failure, behavioral problems and difficulties in social and family relationships. Furthermore, it is a disorder that has a high comorbidity (40% -60%) with other behavioral and/or emotional problems, with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) being one of the most frequent. The aim of this study is to examine the efficacy of cognitive-behavioral therapy in disruptive behaviors and disobedience in a child with ADHD and ODD. The treatment was a specific intervention in a school context, combining teacher training with that of the child, as well as working with the child´s class group. The results show the effectiveness of this exclusive intervention in a school setting, especially that of the\nteacher training and the implementation of the contingencies organizational system. The main contribution of this study is to show that even a specific and unique intervention in a school setting may provide significant results in those cases where the inclusion of parents in the treatment is not possible for different reasons.
