Abstract: The idea of religion is fundamentally social in nature because it questions society’s cohesion and its survival. The modern rationalization of the world was not sufficient to dispel the religious question as an archaism. Various authors have shown how society is based on a symbolization and mobilization of an imagination that makes it possible to support and understand the disparity of the world. Moreover, today we observe a recrudescence and a plurality of manifestations of religiosity way beyond the spaces traditionally viewed as sacred.
