Abstract: does not appear to affect the prognosis of the underlying subtype of lymphoma.However, recognizing this rare variant of lymphoma is important in order to avoid making an erroneous diagnosis of metastatic signet ring cell carcinoma, which carries a dismal prognosis in most cases.
