Pseudoaneurysma bei gedeckter anastomosenferner Spontanruptur eines femoro-poplitealen ePTFE-P3-Bypasses

Abstract: Pseudoaneurysm at a Covered, Nonanastomotic Spontaneous Rupture Site in a Femoro-Popliteal PTFE-P3-Graft. In vascular surgery alloplastic prostheses are implanted as an alternative to autologeous vein grafting, which is preferably used. Complications which occur more frequently after implantation of alloplastic grafts are bypass occlusion, graft infection and aneurysms of the anastomoses. Nonanastomotic, covered rupture and pseudo-aneurysm of an ePTFE bypass is a rarity. Interactions between graft and host organism, structural defects of the graft fabric or improper handling intraoperatively may lead to degradation and destruction of the graft-ultrastructure as well as progressive degenerative modifications in native vessels or biomechanical and hemodynamic stress may do. In addition to open surgical management, the endovascular approach provides, especially in an emergency and as a bridging therapy, a treatment alternative. Z Gefasmed 2015; 12 (2): 9–14.
