Abstract: The Ki/o Kiosk Project was a research effort to explore the potential applications for embedding computation in informal public spaces, such as hallways, building lobbies, and break areas.By deploying a prototype kiosk network, the ki/o Project identified challenges, requirements, and design criteria for designing kiosk Intelligent Environments, and fielded community reactions to the system.
