Growth of oriented p-aminobenzoic acid crystals by directional freezing
Year: 2012
Type: article
Abstract: Oriented long needle-like p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) crystals are successfully prepared by directional freezing of PABA solution in this work. The width of the oriented crystals is controlled by changing the directional cooling rate, resulting in varying crystal morphologies and thermodynamic properties while maintaining the same chemical structure.
