Can a higher relaxivity contrast agent hinder subendocardial infarct detection in viability imaging?
Year: 2010
Type: article
Abstract: Recently, higher relaxivity contrasts agents have been advocated for use in infarct imaging. Specifically, MultiHance® (gadobenate dimeglumine) has higher relaxivities (r 1 and r 2 , 9.7 1 and 12.5 1 ) compared to standard Magnevist (gadopentetate dimeglumine) (r 1 and r 2 , 4.9 1 and 6.3 1 ). Will this higher relaxivity show better visualization of subendocardial infarcts or hinder the visualization?
