Abstract: The X-ray crystal structure of a ternary complex of copper(II)-nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA, 2) and bis(N-methylimidazol-2-yl)ketone 3 is reported.This structure provides information about the nature of the interaction of metal complexes of NTA with polyhistidine peptides.
