Abstract: Codification system and data quality analysis in top le vel soccer. In this work a new practical tool for the observation, codification, analysis and e valuation of a specific behavior context, football associa tion or soccer, is presented The codifying tool, made within the frame work of the observational methodology, will allow full description of the playing action in soccer. Assuming that soccer is a colabo ration-oposition game, certain types of str ategic behaviors of interaction between teams will be retai ned, as well as interaction contexts where they occure and place and space. Inducti ve viewpoint was the main scope of this resear ch. Data quality was controlled and guaranteed by the use of se veral procedures along the whole process, whereas agreement and generallizability analysis were the most im portant ones.
