Abstract: 2. Objectifs Etudier si l’effet de la privation de sommeil, ainsi que l’heure du coucher influencent la depense energetique reliee a l’activite physique durant les deux jours suivants l’intervention. Abstract Sleep habits can have an impact on weight gain due to an influence on factors such as food intake and/or physical activity. Only some studies have been done on this subject but they are contradictory and none of them have been made on sleep timing. This study is a randomized crossover sleep sessions with 3 conditions to determine the physical activity energy expenditure (PAEE) for the two days following the intervention for 8 participants (age of 23.8 +/3.7 years; IMC of 21.9 +/1.9 kg/m2) : control session (C), early night deprivation (E) and late night deprivation (L). The results obtained with an accelerometer suggest that there is no significant difference between the 3 conditions for the day following the intervention (PAEE of 551,74 +/354,28 kcal for C, PAEE of 566,51 +/146,21 kcal for E and PAEE of 767,27 +/488,69 kcal for L; p = 0,186) and for the day after (PAEE of 991,11 +/368,42 kcal for C, PAEE of 1147,04 +/221,95 kcal for E and PAEE of 1139,59 +/498,87 kcal for L; p = 0,252). There tended to be a non-significant increase in PAEE following the 2 sleep deprivation conditions.
