Abstract: Do we need more prognostic factors in node-negative breast cancer? As I read the accompanying opinion pieces by two highly regarded experts in the field regarding this topic, I was struck by a curious observation. Although they were supposed to take ‘pro’ or ‘con’ positions, in reality both authors came to the same conclusion. Their comments can be paraphrased in the following statement: ‘Yes, we do need new prognostic factors, but they need to be more precise and reliable’.
