Abstract: Purpose: Studies with garlic have shown the medicinal value of the plant by its antioxidant potential which is exerted by its organosulfur rich content. In this study, the aim is to determine any potential antioxidant efficacy of the less toxic water soluble extract of a widely cultivated garlic form in Turkey, in terms of alterations on the oxidant/antioxidant status of HL60 promyelocytic leukemia cell line.
