Genomic profiling of advanced bladder cancer to guide the use of targeted therapeutics

Abstract: As exemplified by the accompanying research article, next‐generation sequencing of bladder tumors for clinical decision making facilitates the use of targeted therapies in advanced bladder cancer, a historically underresearched area of oncology. The overall benefit of targeted therapy in bladder cancer remains to be determined, but research efforts are underway.
