Diferencias de género en la respuesta a la Infidelidad Cibernética versus a la Infidelidad de Facto
Year: 2015
Type: dissertation
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: This work was performed in order to find gender differences in response to two types of infidelity: fact infidelity (in which there is physical contact) and cyber infidelity (fully virtual). Participants completed a multiple choice survey in order to qualify statements concerning the subject, and then answered development questions were they could explain and argue their views and opinions. The results showed that while fact infidelity has existed longer, it’s consequences in a formal relationship are equal to those in cyber infidelity. This study encourages further research at national level and can serve as a tool for individual or family therapists who face the issue.
