Abstract: Aesthetics refers to the study or science of beauty whereas development has to do with all-round progress in all cultural, economic, political, social life, and so on whether at the human or societal level. National development, then, is the progress made by a nation in its strive for self sustainable growth; it is all-encompassing as it deals with the total man and total nation in all areas of life without exception. In fact, it is total development which, of course, is itself dependent on the level of development of individuals that make up the nation. In this paper we intend to show the relationship between aesthetics and national development, and maintain that development itself is a beautiful phenomenon to behold.
