Abstract: I am very pleased to be able to support the publication of this set of Burning Issues focused on Learning and Teaching about Mental Health. As the editors say, these issues represent thinking in a point in time as well as different and sometimes conflicting views. All the authors offer material that is likely to be the focus of much dialogue within and across a wide range of disciplines and professions that are both directly and indirectly associated with mental health.I am confident that you will find something to think about and I would encourage you to respond, to engage in the debate, move it on and perhaps contribute your own burning issue?I am sure my students of Mental Health Promotion will find an even more provocative teacher with them.
