Abstract: Introduction: Following the guidelines of SUS, the Ministry of Health has invested in actions that include comprehensive care to women (BRAZIL, 2011).In the context of Gynaecological consultation (CG), however, care priority has usually been directed to the reproductive approach and the prevention of cervical cancer, disregarding other possible demands and constituents / generators of women's health status which could also be expressed in the dialogue between user and professional. In this sense, it is argued that the current approach in services is still biomedical, focusing on the logic of the complaint solution (Ceccim; FERLA, 2006).The study "Completeness of Technology Use in Caring for Women in Care Network Scope Basic: scenario analysis in relation to the gynecologist" presupposes that the GC can be a generator of comprehensive health care for women, since it takes into account their social determinants and expand the focus of care in addition to predefined care protocols. Objective: To present results of one of the stages of the research, which identified the reasons for the search of primary care users (AB) Gaucho by CG access, access modes and the potential of this consultation to produce comprehensive care.Methodology: Qualitative study of CG users of experiences from AB services. They were conducted focus groups (GF) in three municipalities of the state, selected after analysis of indicators for ecological descriptive epidemiological study. The GF had an average of seven users each.Content analysis was performed on the collected data (MINAYO, 2008).Results: The users sought the CG for performing Pap smear (CP) and breast exam / mammography.Family planning and other demands related to reproductive and sexual health were not mentioned. As for access to the service, users reported difficulties regarding the availability of consultations and the convenience of the service offered. Conclusion: The analysis suggests that, in the Rio Grande do Sul AB, care for women in CG is not answering, as it should, to the principle of completeness due to several factors. The CG has concentrated on collecting CP, excluding the possibility of other Keywords women's health; completeness; primary care / salud de la mujer; exhaustividad; atención primaria PowerPoint presentation
