Year: 2013
Type: article
Abstract: Literature review and conceptual frameworkInternationalization has been frequently defined in line with Welch and Luostarinen (1988, p.36) as "the process of increasing involvement in international markets".Therefore if we speak of internationalization in the context of international new ventures we refer to increasing involvement in international markets of newly established ventures, which, according to Oviatt and McDougall (1994), contributes to their competitive advantage.
