Abstract: The non-H atoms of the title mol-ecule, C(10)H(8)BrNO, are essentially coplanar. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π(arene) inter-actions, forming one-dimensional chains along the a axis.
