Abstract: Introduction: HRT is the most effective therapy to treat climacteric syndrome who alters the quality of life in 2014. The aim of our study was to describe the position of young GPs about HRT, whose the therapeutic benefit/risk ratio remains controversial today.Materials and Methods: We achieved an online survey, using a self-administered questionnaire. We interviewed GPs substitutes who were enrolled in an online forum in Gironde (France). Results: The response rate was 14.6%. GPs substitutes were not opposed to the prescription of HRT. The prevalence of prescription was 61.6%, in particular by renewal. The GPs substitutes were only 8.7% to initiate it. Reluctances were reported in 62.6% but did not influence the prescription of HRT. Personal factors influenced weakly the prescription of GPs substitutes. The proportion of prescription was more important if the practice of gynecology was more frequent. Have a complementary training in gynecology was associated with a greater frequency of interruption of THM. Conclusion: Despite expressed reluctance and unclear scientifics data, the GPs substitutes remained in an « evidence-based-medicine » approach about HRT, in compliance with indications and contraindications.
