Abstract: Quality of life is not a new concept but one whose understanding and terminology evolved over time. The impact of prostate cancer on quality of life is significant, treatment outcomes being influenced by the patient’s perception about his illness. Emotional state and concerns induced by the disease progression and treatment are important elements for a good doctor-patient relationship.
