Study on the Relationship between Informatization and Logistics Based on Varying Coefficient Models of Panel Data

Abstract: Based on varying coefficient models of panel data,panel data of 31 provinces in China from year 2002 to 2010 were used to analyze the relationship between informatization and logistics.Results indicate that informatization makes a great contribution to logistics.Therefore promoting the informatization level is positive to the improvement of logistics.In addition,there is no significant difference among the contribution of informatization to logistics in different regions.Possible reasons are many-sided as follows.Firstly,the promoting role of informatization to logistics itself is not so relative to the region.Secondly,the informatization level and the logistics level are both the highest in the East China and the lowest in the West China.Finally,the informatization level runs ahead of the logistics level.
