Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical etiological characters and effect of treatment of ophthalmoplegia.Methods Retrospective case series study was uses to analyze the clinical etiological characters and effect of treatment in 50 cases of ophthalmoplegia.Red glass test,diplopic image,clinical examination,laboratory investigations imaging diagnosis(CT,MRI) were performed.Results Among 50 cases,the causes were palsy of the nerve source 42cases(84%),palsy of the muscle source 3 cases(6%),immune diseases3 cases(6 %),mechanical 2 cases palsy1case(4 %).Conclusion The causes ofophthalmoplegia were complicated.The careful clinical examination and imaging diagnosis could be benefit for the etiological diagnosis and effect treatment.
