Study on thermal degradation kinetics of halogen-free phosphorus flame retardant polyethylene

Abstract: The thermal degradation kinetics parameter of pure polyethylene and flame-retardant polyethylene were determined by Kissinger and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(FWO) method using the thermal gravimetric analysis technique under air atmosphere.The calculation results showed that the activation energy of the flame-retardant polyethylene was higher than the pure polyethylene,the thermal stability of polyethylene was improved the flame retardants added.
