Abstract: The paper looks back upon the origin of resource-based view of firms,analyses its evolutionary process.Form the standpoint of the neoclassical micro-economics and evolutionary economics,we study the process of transformation from resources and capabilities into competitive advantages.Then we build the three dimensions of capabilities evolution: the depth,breadth and the life cycle of capabilities,prove the capability dynamic evolution model through a case study of Yannan Baiyao.Finally,we make some advices about the future study of RBV.
