Abstract: In recent years,study of scientometrics was very active and many new branches such as information metrology,informetrics,webmetrics and other branches developed very fast,resulting in different research genres.Some issues of the development of scientometrics,including the research contents,research process,and Price scientific literature growth model,measurement indicators and peer-review,were explored in this paper.The current limitations and future development trend of scientometrics were summarrized.
