Abstract: This chapter describes some of the sociological parameters of intergenerational solidarity. We argue that there are two levels of analysis, the macro-and microsocial; the macrosocial is reflected at the level of society and groups (what we will call “macrogens”) and the microsocial at the level of families and individuals (“microgens”). Similarly, we argue that it is impossible to discuss solidarity without considering its opposite, conflict, and vice versa. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
