Abstract: This research discussed about macro-appraisal archives in Faculty of Tarbiyah and \nTeaching Sciences (FITK) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The aspects that were \nanalyzed are macro-appraisal archives activity FITK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta \nand to identify assessment criteria of macro-appraisal archives based on organizational \nstructure. This research is qualitative research by doing macro-apparisal by looking at \nbusiness function. Collecting data were conducted by means of observation, \nquestinairre and interview. The result shows that macro-appraisal archives conducted \npartially, and every work unit, it is due to there is no guideline in macro-apparisal the \narchives. The implementation of macro-appraisal archives as standardization of \narchive assessment and basis of Archive Retention Schedule are based on experience \nand expertise of archive manager. Archive appraisal does not refer to ANRI guidelines. \nRecommendation for the FIKT UIN Jakarta is continuing the research of macroapparisal archives as the initial step in making macro archival guidelines and record \ncreation center embryo as an institution in saving and archive storage
