Abstract: The article deals with professional community of IT workers (IT-community), namely its forming, development factors, transformations, and role in contemporary society. Research context is determined with globalization process and information technology expansion. There are tendencies that show vectors for further functioning of IT-community in global society and Russians’ everyday life.
