ABSTRACT: The intersections of theatre, dramaturgy, and media can be seen in contemporary Brazilian theatre, mainly when we verify how many playwrights transit between theatre, television, and cinema. In this article, we discuss how the use of audiovisual resources can reinforce or weaken the dramatic text in the contemporary scene. We analyze t these intersections by discussing the play Tarsila, by maria Adelaide Amaral. KEYWORDS: Brazilian theatre, maria Adelaide Amaral, Tarsila, intermidiality.
