Interaction of Cupric and Zinc Ions with Sperm Whale Metmyoglobin
Year: 1963
Type: article
Abstract: Investigation of the interactions 1 On a weight basis of over-all recovery, 11 histidyl residues and 18 lysyl residues may be computed per molecule of myoglobin (9, 16).However, on the bases of moles recovered in analysis (8) and the numbers of recognized sequences containing these residues (personal communication from A. Edmundson), the higher values of 12 and 19, respectively, seem secure.
