Abstract: This paper presents and describes the new developments in the study of the textual tradition of the Crónica de 1344 recorded in the recent updates of BITAGAP and BETA of Philobiblon, including notice of the location and identification of three new man muscripts witnesses.These developments, whose importance is stressed, are presented as an integral part of a global “state of the question” review of critical concern for this chronicle, in which one major point suggests the necessity of going beyond the notion of “first” and “second” redactions and adopting a new, expanded paradigm focused on the realities of each of the extant manuscripts.
