Abstract: While treatment with pharmacological agents is commonplace, lifestyle management in delaying chronic kidney disease progression should also be provided. These include dietary and exercise interventions, and bariatric surgery for obesity – though this last may have effects in both directions. This chapter describes the effects of lifestyle on chronic kidney disease progression and the research evidence for the use of lifestyle interventions.
