Abstract: This appendix presents some figures, which describes the landscape epidemiology modeling framework. These figures were created while processing the geographic information system (GIS) data layers and extracting the study area. The GIS data layers were eventually converted into XML format and then fed as inputs to the spatial agent-based model (ABM) for the landscape epidemiology modeling framework simulations. These figures are presented to help the reader/modeler in grasping a deeper understanding of the GIS processing steps. Location-specific mosquito abundance maps plays an important role in malaria control activities by guiding future resource allocation for malaria control and identifies hotspots for further investigation.
