Abstract: Fewer than 50% and 10% of elderly AML patients in the US receive curative intent chemotherapy and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), respectively. As a result, outcomes of intensive treatment in this population are poorly defined. There are little data on the effect of FLT3/NPM1 mutation on outcomes after intensive therapy in this patient population.
