Abstract: The article takes the issue of determining the essence of good governance in a regionalcontext. It presents indicators of good governance in the field of governance at thelocal level. The study was based on the relatively new index of The European Qualityof Government Index. In this study the quality of governance at the regional level – in thevoivodeships in Poland, in 2013 was assessed.
